[Mysti]

Mysti blinked a few times in obvious confusion.

"Uh ... now that you mention it ... where is Hush? I thought he would be with you."

She looked around as if expecting to see Hush round the corner and lope down the alley.

"Well ... anyway, why would you leave him here? He's more than welcome to come along. If he wants."

[Whisper]

He gave her a warm smile. "We were rushing a bit. Excited by the notion of just leaving right now. I don't mind. It would certainly be an adventure."

He pulled her away from the wall and guided them down the alley. "But, we really should get our things, gather some supplies, and get Hush."

[Mysti]

Mystil walked along with Whisper out of the alley -- though she often looked back to where they had been -- as if the portal would miraculously appear now that they were leaving. She was letting her miserable experience with Cyprian -- and others -- over the last few days taint her perception of Sigil. She did want to be somewhere else. At least for now.

"Well ... I suppose you're right. I just wanted to make sure I could even find the portal before we went through the fuss and bother of preparing to leave. But, uh ... yeah. I don't want you to leave Hush. I'm sure you don't want to do that either. If that weren't enough, all I have on me is a few hidden knives -- I'd be going wherever virtually unarmed. And I should retrieve all of my coins and gems. Not really sure whether to tell the landlord to rent out the place -- or to hold it for me. It's not like I own much."

After saying all of that, she continued to walk with Whisper figuring he knew where they were going. In fact, she didn't even ask. Instead, she simply enjoyed the mystery of it all -- as well as the company. Things had taken a rather unexpected turn, sitting down to play a few hands of cards. Who knew?

[Whisper]

"I promise you. We will leave Sigil together and travel for as long as you like." he assured her. "To make the most of it, however, we will need to prepare a few things. We'll make sure we are properly supplied and can comfortably carry whatever we need. Anything we leave behind will be secured until we return. I have enough favors owed me to ensure that."

[Mysti]

Mysti lifted her eyebrows in curiosity. "Oooh, favors, huh? How did you manage that? Or ... should I be asking?"

She supplied Whisper with this evil-looking grin. Then she nodded, apparently accepting all that Whisper had to say.

"Alright then. I suppose you're right about all of that. It would be rather silly to run off through a portal with only what we're wearing. And I don't even have my bow. Just in case."

Her dark eyes still lingered on the perceived place where the portal should be. Maybe. Though now she was having second thoughts about this alley. Maybe it's the one just like it a little further down the street. Well, in any case ...

"What do you think we should do first? Maybe we should go and get Hush?"

[Whisper]

"Favors come in many forms." he grinned. "Hush isn't too far away. He'll be happy to see us."

They were drawing near to the market.

[Mysti]

Mysti was certainly familiar with the various markets around the city. In fact, whenever she did find herself walking around Sigil's streets for the Harmonium, her route often took her through these places of high energy - and sometimes high crime. Not that she concerned herself with petty larseny and accusations of one person cheating another. She was much more interested in running across someone on the "Wanted" list and dragging their sorry asses back to the courthouse where a nice, fat bounty was paid.

She could already hear the familiar sounds of people doing business.

"Planning on buying a few things? Or are we just passing through?"

[Whisper]

Whisper lead her through the bazaar, avoiding the larger crowds by passing through side streets, secluded alleys and even a few buildings. Finally, they began to climb a set of stairs. This led to several apartments, all of which he passed. Climbing out a window, they walked along a narrow ledge which brought them to the roof of another building. They descended from there on a narrow spiral stairway into a large open room.

"Here we are."

[Mysti]

Mysti does one of those little twirls as she looks around the entire room.

Looking a bit confused, she asked, "Is this where you live? I must say that you have quite the set-up with climbing out of windows and whatnot. My place is ... pretty mundane."

She found the nearest chair, couch, or piece of furniture and immediately made herself comfortable -- but barring that, she would have at on the floor, her back against the wall.

"So ... what now? I don't see Hush anywhere, either. Is he around?"

[Whisper]

The apartment was sparsely furnished. It looked more like a campsite than a home. There was an old couch and a couple of chairs around a small table.

"It's okay Hush, she's a friend."

A large hound with dark green fur had emerged silently from a side room.

"He comes and goes through a hole in the storage room." Whisper explained. "The normal entrances into this apartment were blocked off by newer construction. The merchant downstairs didn't care much, as she wasn't using it. And, when I asked about renting it, she was happy to accept my coin."
