"I see. My apologies then, sir Thaddeus." She walked along with Thaddeus over towards where the boards were. "I could have sworn I saw you at Rhauntide's library fire. But I must be mistaking you for someone else."

The rogue gave the little drow -- Illi-something -- a small nod of greeting. She still didn't know precisely why she was there, but maybe there would be some form of payment involved. Usually she wasn't this much of a mercenary, but she was spending more than she was making -- and the Harmonium bounties paid very little these days.

"So I missed a party last night? Apparently I wasn't invited since -- I hadn't heard of any parties. Which is nothing new." She took a small sip of the wine. "I hope it was a good one."

"Oh, the party was open to all of Sigil, advertised it in S.I.G.I.S. and everything, just as long as you could pay the door charge of a recordin'.

No, I didn't take any interest in the old spellslinger's death at the time. I think that was the one Akh Uur Hoon said the sod in the alley was 'prentice to, so his death is tied in to all this." He says motioning to the board and the meeting in general. "Any chant you've got about the who, what, why, and how of Rhauntide's death could shed some light on this dark."

"So I missed a party last night? Apparently I wasn't invited since -- I hadn't heard of any parties. Which is nothing new." She took a small sip of the wine. "I hope it was a good one."

Mystic gets a nod back.

"Yeah, I'm thinking it's, uh, all related. The dead guys, and maybe some of the other things going on, maybe."

Illi makes a bit of an unhappy noise. "Last night's party is actually why I called everyone. Uh, I had a bad feeling about it, and then, uh... uhm... mister L'Orr-hui? Would you please explain the situation with the, the druid spell last night, please?"

[Ikkit the Bastard]

Ikkit grumbled from his corner, cutting in on the talk with little to say about the magical assault on the Sensate party..

"They all knew each other. 'Fore. Were in it t'rip some book- the Codex, Shemeshka calls it- off from Sultan Marrake al-Sidan al-Hariq ben Lazan in th'City of Brass. Things went sideways after the fact, seems t'me."

He moved over to the blackboard, then scowled at it, because of course it was too fucking high off of the fucking ground

"Berk with th'hood called 'isself 'Silentblade,' which is a good laugh, 'coz he sure liked th'sound of 'is own voice. Has issues or ties with the Anarchists, or told Rhaunades he did. Some jabber 'bout banishing their Factol t'th'Etheral. Wasn't too clear on that part. Had Toril as a fallback spot."

He cocked his head at Thaddeus.

"You Sensates had alla this in your little memory boxes, by the by."

Oh my god, bless Ikkit. Gingerly she nudges the footstool she'd used earlier to write on the board, and look for something else to get him up higher if he needs it. Soon there's the footstool and an extra little crate for it to stand on.

"Okay. So this sounds like an extremely powerful, extremely DANGEROUS tome. Hm..." Illi will pull out some of the S.I.G.I.S. papers later. She remembers something about Waterdeep. "Shit, why would all of that be in a memory box?"

"Well, it's a good thing for the recordin's then. Plenty of them to be seen, just need to know what to ask for.

Although Illiam does bring up an interesting question. If you were part of a cabal to obtain such a powerful artifact, making a recordin' isn't the best way to keep the dark. Though it's not likely it'd be found 'less you knew what to ask for... so Mr. Ikkit, how did you know what to ask for?"

[L'Orr-hui]

''The Storm of Vengeance'' the illithid sent the name of the spell quite strongly in the minds of the participants, punctuating it's importance, while beginning the casting of their own spell on the meeting

They paused to let them digest the information, drawing a few more sigils in the air

''If a being such as an Arch Druid, a Fey Lord or any powerful nature spirit had summoned the Storm would have seen it fully manifested until the caster's control was released. It is possible that the caster's skill was outstripped by the spell's magnitude or, as some theorized, the Storm was a by product of something else. Perhaps this Tome.''

An' far as how I knew where t'look, well... b'lieve I name-dropped 'er already. Claimed a prior relationship with the wizard, an'that the Sensates wouldn't let'er see th'recordin'."

[Whisper]

"I've been thinking of going on a hunt into Silvanus' realm." Whisper spoke up. "There aren't any libraries there, but I could ask around. There are few places where nature and magic are so entwined."

[Thaddeus]

He clambered up the stool to add the information to the board.

"So the Cuprilach Silentblade was workin' with the spellslinger, and Shemeshka was involved... which makes sense with Jemorille bangin' around under her roof.

What this makes me wonder now is who among the Sensates wouldn't let her see that recordin'? Must've known somethin' 'bout it to keep it from her. 'Less that was under orders from whoever made the recordin'. Maybe they didn't trust Shemeshka, which who would blame 'em for it?"
