L'Orr-hui inspected their bag once more for this would be a tricky maneuver. They could always escape back towards the portal but that would be a waste of efforts.

Fyne could have been a fine enough diplomat but the sensate seemed overjoyed with the occasion so that was fortunate. The key was ready, now for the others.

Thaddeus made his way to the spot where L'Orr had set up their meet. He enjoyed a mug of coffee and a scone, breaking off a piece here and there to share with Cornelius who trotted excitedly alongside him.

What appeared to be a well dressed rat poked his head from the illithid's travel bag once every few minute. He was the one to communicate Thaddeus's presence to his master.

''Ser Thaddeus'' the flayer thought as they turned ''A word before we depart, if you please''

Fyne arrived and nodded to L'orr-hui, but didn't interrupt. Lirrax sat on his shoulder, perched and sniffling at the air.

"Goo..." Thaddeus begins to respond out loud but shifts back to thought as they had communicated previously, "Good morn to you too. You've my undivided attention. the satyr takes advantage of a free mouth and continues to eat his breakfast, "You're the lead on this ride."

A smirk comes across his face for a split second when he spots the drow. Thad nods in greeting to Fyne.

L'Orr-hui gave a respectful nod to their client before continuing

''It occured to me that, in addition to mediating our entry into the library, you could make a case about my recurring visit without having to repay the entrance fee''

The illithids eyes seemed to sparkle

''My recurring presence would be a boon to the institution considering that peaceful interactions to members of my species is nigh improbable.''

He keeps Fyne in his peripheral, wondering what business he had on this trip.

Thaddeus nods along like he knows what L'Orr is talking about. He has a vague idea, but he was no grey-beard himself. Thad preferred experiential knowledge over combing through a stack of scrolls, although he'd settle for the method if he'd have to.

"I'm sure they'll go barmy over it... Say, what's the drow here for? Leatherhead threatened to turn me in to the Hardheads because I was a good citizen and tried to scrag a real criminal, same one I was telling you 'bout. Ride like this might call for a little peel. Wouldn't be surprised if this one turns stag on us to the locals."
