Thaddeus pushes the arrow through so there's more to grab on the other side before breaking it off. He then uses Mage Hand to pull what remains out of the wound and a quick Healing Word to seal the wound.

"And what balance would that be cutter? The number of attached jaws in the Mortuary?"

Can I get an Arcana check to realize what spell he used for his illusion etc... Maybe some kind of check to recognize who the victim was?

"Way to speak and prove my point." There's a long eye roll. "You people think you understand how things work, and then sudde--OW. Who put a wall here...Where was I? Yes. You're just limited by your simplistic capacity to understand the nature of the Planes. This one intended to disrupt the Balance, so I did what I had to do. Could have left well enough alone, but oh no...he had to get uppity. Well, don't you Primers worry, I did my job, so it's still in play."

((Arcana check to figure it the spell...probably not one for the victim, given who the victim is.))

Ikkit simply rolled his eyes.

This berk sounded exactly like every pointless philosophizing imbecile he'd come to truly despise in the course of his life, every idiot who pretended to understand the universe with a sack of wet mass between their ears.

"S'prised y'didn't talk th'poor sod t'death."

He turned on one heel, muttering under his breath in goblin about "fucking idiots," apparently intent on making his exit.

"Well you know what they say. 'If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it.'

I guess you're just another gully with 'bout half a thought in your brain-box. Some cony-catcher come along and sold you a nice bit of chant and you haven't tumbled to it yet. Can't even 'splain the 'Balance'. ""For the Balance, For the Greater Good, For the Horde."" The only thing you can teach is I needs to come up with a good slogan and make some jink off it."

"Wouldn't be a good assassin if I did that, shorty." The man raised his voice at the Goblin, clearly not understanding the subtext of the statement. "Of course I could explain The Balance, but I just don't think you Primers are capable of understanding it. Don't need the jink. In fact, I left his stuff over there in the corner. Well, everything but one. Feel free to split it between yourself and consider things balanced between us." He glanced at Thaddeus before at the goblin. "Or you can go ahead and leave like short stuff is. You guys aren't on any of my lists at this moment in time. I doubt you ever will be, really."

Ah yes, "shorty." The favored insult of the misshapen giants that cluttered the universe. That one he was used to. But the next...

"Who're you calling a Primer, berk?"

"Save your breath, this berk can't tell a cager from a primer." Thad says while moving over to the indicated corner, collecting the belongings... for clues.

"He's just spoutin' out his bone-box whatever he's been told. Probably doesn't even know what that sod he nicked was doing against ""The Balance"". In FACT! I'd wager that deader's the last basher them cony-catchers roped into doing their dirty work. What I'd do to clean up."

"You lot, obviously." He said with a affirmed nod. "A spade is a spade, and a Primer is a Primer. I'm sorry if you--OW!"

The illusion goes quiet once more before it shakes his head. "Low bar..."

"HAH! You berks don't know anything about it. It's a perspective that your tiny minds can never understanding. Just prattle on with your philosophies and your factions and live good little short lives while we work our asses off making sure the planes aren't ripped asunder on all sides. The sod had it coming, had his chance not to die. Tried to do something 'FoR tHe GrEaTeR gOoD' instead. Look where that leads you. Important lesson for you Primers to learn: never say I gave you anything. Beyond that stuff in the bag, of course."

Inside the bag is a pouch of coins of a unknown amount, a pointy stick with engravings on it, and 3 potions.

Ikkit rolled his eyes again.

"You talk like one'a those faction addle-coves. Leastways y'didn't say any crap about glorious purpose, or I mighta puked."

Feature's single eye widens considerably, and they let out a definitely audible giggle as they come out to be clearly visible again. "What... what?!", they ask, still laughing. "Ya in the robes... zero? Not here at all then?" They ran the spiny legs around, trying to feel the figure.

They circle around, looking for something to talk to, since the voice still comes from... somewhere. Ends up they talk to the illusion, for lack of something better.

"Ya say all that about Balance as if something had to make sense or something, friend!" Another laugh. "Ya almost sound like one o' them guvners! About that balance thing doesn't sound enough like paperwork..."

Their hand moves as if it would touch their chin, although of course there isn't much of a chin there.

"We just don't get... ya seemed to just need the jaws, and that whole way of doing that... that's just unseemly!"

They say that laughing, which kinda cuts down on the effect a bit.

"You keep saying those things about 'keeping everything in order', too. What for? The GrEaTeR gOoD?"

The higher and lowercase corresponds to the wiry legs bending up and down, of course.
