Making trouble in the neighbourhood [D0, Mid-Evening]

"Godhood? You're in the group that's trying to be gods then?" he asks. "Seems like a difficult proposition. But I guess it's more common for gods to ascend than die which would suggest that things are trending that way?" He says.

[Ikkit the Bastard]

Ikkit actually snorted aloud at that.

"They're selling the same line all of 'em are, Clueless. Godsmen say we're all just Powers in waiting, if we do it right, but since plenty of Powers croak if nobody worships 'em, if it works, some poor berks are gonna be left out in the end."

He turned a toothy grin on Sings-With-Purpose.

"An' can't help noticing how many of 'em wanna be worshipped from the jump-off."

She shrugged, given the little goblin a similarly toothy grin. "Becoming a Power is just a stop along the way, cutter. Like you say, they can croak too. And they can ascend to something beyond just a power too. Getting to be a Power ain't the end stage of all this. And not every Power needs worshippers neither."

There was another shrug, as she looked toward Fyne. "Some make it their whole purpose, of course, getting to that point. But personally I don't quite think that's the point of it all. It's about improving yourself, yeah? Learning new lessons, and building on past ones. Wouldn't get you very far if all that was easy, now would it?"

[Fyne]

"Getting better is getting better. Gotta imagine a god of coin got there by collecting a whole lot of coin in the first place. And there's powers that do some pretty messed up stuff. So guess there's lots of ways to get there."

Lirrax wobbles and falls over on the bar.

"You lush," he says towards his pseudodragon.

"God of coin or god of bowel movements, they're welcome to it."

[Fyne]

"And what if you're on the way to becoming the god of snark? I think you might be. Do you folks see him glowing a bit?" Fyne jokes.

"Any universe would make me a god is one you'd best hope the Sinkers are right about."

Griffin snorts at the goblin's statement while she washes a few things.

"Y'er quite the ornery fellow, aren't you?" She said, giving the goblin a mildly amused smirk, "But sure 'nough, even a cutter like you could make it that big. Not that the universe'd just give it to you, of course."

She emptied the last of her glass before looking back at him.

"You got a calling, cutter? A purpose to y'er life? Got to have more than just cutting remarks and a good throwing hand, you know. Life's too big for just those two to fill it with."

That just got a snort.

"Writin' a body off as aimless if they haven't joined a Faction is 'zactly why I got no time for any of 'em."
