Hi dad, we're hungry [D5, MA]
Today was a rather busy one, but among the many things on the docket; *this* one was without doubt the most important to her. Not only would she meet up with her newfound sister again; after having just learned of her existence literally the other day. And not only would she also be meeting her *brother* for the first time.
But they'd go and confront dear old dad about stuff too.
Honestly, she was prepared for things to get violent somehow. Last time they'd spoken it was after he had literally ordered her kidnapped, after all. For her 'own good', as far as he might've seen it maybe, but that didn't make it any less wrong. This time though, she had the backing of a faction, and two siblings who may or may not be superpowerful. She really should've asked, shouldn't she? It'd be a bad time if things went violent after all and the only thing they could do was cast cantrips. Although, she did mention something about her brother fireballing people, so maybe it'd be okay.
Not that she was *intending* for things to get violent, of course. Just... nerves talking.
But first, they would meet up in the tavern, same as before. Do a meet and greet with her brother, then go marching in for answers. Or something to that effect. So there Sings was, waiting for her siblings to show up.

Thankfully, you weren't dealing with this on your own for very long.
Before you first round lands on your table, your sister walks into the tavern with a man in tow. He doesn't look too thrilled to be here, but when Malady eyes meets yours, she has a bright smile on your face, waving to you while the gentlemen does awkward sort of wave in your general direction.

Sings waves them both over, standing up as she does and giving them both a good look. The family resemblance was definitely there with both of them alright, no doubt about it.
"Uhm, hi, I went and took the liberty of ordering us some drinks already," she said, turning to the newfound brother she didn't previously know she had, "I'm Eidiya... though, I go by Sings-With-Purpose nowadays. It's good to meet you. I'd say it's good to meet you *finally*, but I didn't even know you existed until yesterday, so... that'd be a bit of a weird thing to say I guess."

The two siblings sit down. "Zelos." He says with another wave, followed by love punch from Malady. "Show a bit more emotion, Zelos!"
He sighs deeply. "Hi Eiyda. It's good to put a face to you. We knew you were around, just never where." Zelos speaks his words to see if his sister was going to punch him again, but she didn't.
"Bard, huh? Interesting choice of job. Sis tells me father was not happy about your plan to do this."

"Yeah," She said with a small smirk and shrug, "Got a bit of sorcery in me too, but I've always been able to hear the hum and thrum of the universe's song. And y'know, there's this voice in my dreams too, always singing. Figured it made sense to turn to the musical as I grew up. And, well, I'm sure she's told you a bit of what I explained, but yeah, the family didn't approve much."
"Whole family's deeply tied into the Fated. Big on business, the money it brings in and the power that comes with it. Walking away from all that wasn't taken kindly. That all happened a good while ago though, and I'd have been content to just let it rest and never go back. But... well, then I ran into Malady here. And, now things are different, no two ways about it."

"Yeah, knowing you're around is great. Just happy to help get us all some answers. Maybe us with your problem and you with yours. Maybe if we're lucky we can all make up." He nods his. "Just in case, I prepared a teleportation tattoo on my body in case we need to make a fast exit."
He grabs his drink. "So, uh, do I have any nephews or nieces yet?"

"Well, maybe your problem is my problem too. Or at least, whatever it is probably affects me too somehow, right? Or well, it might. Hasn't made itself known to me before, but then I've never been over to the Lawful upper planes before. Still, be good to know what it is that's causing it, and why."
She shrugged and took her own drink in hand too. Good thing she hadn't done so earlier or she might be spewing out her drink upon that last question. "Ah... yeah, no," she gave an awkward chuckle, "I know us bards have a reputation and all but... no. You do have a bunch of half-siblings though! Some cousins too. All fully human. Except for the half-elves among the cousin ranks."

"Exactly. That's fine. There's no rush to make that happen, of course. We'll all be around for a good long while, so plenty of time to consider having a family at some point." He nods in the affirmation and sips his drink, to which your sister punches him in the arm again. "Ow, that actually hurt a little."
"Stop teasing her!" Malady shouts and shakes his head. "He's just teasing you."
Zelos smirks at her statement. "Still, be nice to know if our other siblings are going thru it as well, or if it is just exclusively our own mother. Sure, her heritage was questionable, but perhaps it's the mix of the two? But yes, half-siblings are great and I'm sure we will get along famously with them splendidly, but we should probably figure out how to deal with the head of the house. So, what can we expect when we go deal with him?"

Re: Hi dad, we're hungry [D5, MA]
"Well, like I said, everyone's part of the Fated. Not all of the Fated outside our family are selfish pricks, but Dad definitely takes the worst aspects of their philosophy to heart. Let's say you were a kid growing up in the house and you'd ask to go play outside. A loving Cager parent would make sure their kid wasn't going to play in the razorvine patch out back or some such, right? Dad would instead ask what's in it for him if he lets you play outside. Maybe he'd figure he was teaching you some valuable life lesson about how everything is a negotiation and you had to learn how to take the best deal for yourself, but... well I guess that's exactly what it was. He's always looking to get himself more money and more power, no matter who he has to step on to get it. Family's just a tool to help him get it. Oh, he'll treat you well enough if you do your part and add to the family coffers, but I have no doubt that if he like, got an offer to sell you as a slave or something, he'd weigh the price he'd get for you against the future profits you could conceivably earn, and go with whatever option nets him the most return."
"So yeah, expect everything to be a negotiation, at least."
She blinked then. "Also wait, what do you mean, questionable heritage?" She furrowed her brow, not having heard anything about this before. Unless Malady told her and she'd somehow missed it, which was definitely a possibility.

"Well..." Zelos says with a eye shift towards Malady, who looks back at him. "We have a our suspicions for some things. Like, why we're all Aasimar when mom wasn't. Something down our bloodline triggering. Though, we really don't have anything solid to go with it just yet." He doesn't seem to eager to discuss this at the moment. Thus, need to ask dad some questions. Which, hey, it sounds like we can just pay him some gold and he'll do it, if that's kind of swell guy he is."
