A long rest is a period of extended downtime, at least 8 hours long, during which a character sleeps for at least 6 hours and performs no more than 2 hours of light activity, such as reading, talking, eating, or standing watch.

So, I guess this translates to "a Long Rest is 3 timeslots of sleep, predated or followed by one slot where nothing mechanically relevant happens (i.e. no dice rolls)"?

Pretty much.

3 time slots of snoozing, followed by 1 where you sit and drink coffee, trying to wake up or something. Or, just fall back asleep and achieve the dream of getting a full 8 hrs of sleep.

No big plan regarding it outside of a standard stroll, just googled for "Sigil DnD park" and that was the name that came in.

Yup! The massacre hasn't occurred yet, but it's there. Not too far from the Park of Infernal & Divine, actually.
