The madhouse was just as usual this morning - wails, shrieks, cackles and the homely smell of cheap food (and some bodily fluids, depending on where you're wandering). Something in some of the madders' behaviour seemed especially weird, however. Tense, maybe? It might be hard to say for those not used to the area, with so many of them always laughing for no reason at all, but for someone who'd been around for years, there was something definitely off.
There seemed to be... something around that made some folks tense. Again, it was hard to say exactly what it was - messages that seemed to make no sense, random things dropped at parts of the ground, strange, crooked drawings on walls... all that might be strange elsewhere, but it wasn't particularly out of place in the madhouse. Even people they hadn't seen before - there were always new people coming in for treatment, or for lack of a better place to be. But there was definitely something off, Feature felt as they slowly jumped into action after their time calmly reading more on very interesting (?) discussions on the philosophy of likelihoodism vs bayesianism this morning.
It took a while, but at a certain point they saw something that seemed definitely out of place. A... lady, dressed in what looked like very serious office attire, was walking around in a way that was definitely too purposeful for the usual visitors of the madhouse, taking notes about the wings and their visitors. That kind of orderly behaviour seemed definitely too random for the Madhouse!
They followed the lady from a distance for a good half an hour, even started getting interested in whatever they were up to. They seemed more interested in the asylum than most who worked there daily, which was... well, maybe expected for someone new, but again much too random.
At some point, Feature saw as she left behind a neatly arranged set of notes, orderly arranged above a table. Again, exactly what would be expected in a serious sanatory - and thus completely random and unfitting! That almost made them let out a chuckle - in fact, it did make them let out a chuckle, but at the last moment they shifted around a bit and made it sound as if it was just another of the residents going about their usual madness. They grinned as they saw the interesting lady leave, taking a mental note of her appearance, they went straight for the documents.
They didn't know exactly what they were.... but there was definitely something up there. Feature went straight to find some other madders and let them know about them!

Re: Truly Madly Deeply [Chaos Run Amuck] [D3, LM]
Something was off.
Granted, Rena didn't spend a huge amount of time in the madhouse. But compared to her previous visit there were certain, discrepancies. She'd only turned up because she felt it was appropriate after taking a depression nap for the past 24 hours, and the reward for her trouble is that she found more work to do. She'd only been gone for a day and now this, what a pain... Still, this should, at the least, prove to be more engaging than yesterday had been. It was good to have some way to make herself useful. There had to be some pattern... right?

After getting that weird pile of documents and wandering about with them for a while, Feature eventually noticed someone else that seemed to have found something off in the Gatehouse.
The monodrone greeted the rather gloomy-looking human with an oddly wide, but still somehow friendly grin.
"Hey! We... think we've seen you around before, ms.... Arne, was it?"
They wave their arms about vaguely. "Ya also found something... diferent?"
