"Huh, no kidding," she said as they entered a tavern, "Me? Never knew my mother. She left 'fore I could make any memories of her. Probably with a hefty bag of gold for the trouble of having me, knowing my dad and family."

You know, she really *did* seem familiar somehow. There was a certain... familial resemble between the two of them... wasn't there? Or was that just... her imagination?

"...uh," she blinked and scratched her neck absent mindedly for a moment or two, "you know much about what your mother told her about her time here in the ward?" There was an awkward cough as she found a seat and ordered them some drinks she figured wouldn't offend the woman's digestive system the way some drinks did with out of towners.

"Not much, really. Didn't like talking about. " She shrugs and looks around the establishment. "Suppose it has to do with my dad being a controlling jerk, which is the impression I got from her when my brother and I brought up about him."

Your aardvark simply sniffs around the place while looking at the two of you to do something.

[Sings-With-Purpose]

"Yeah uh, there's a few folk around the ward like that," she said, wondering if a certain notion could actually be true, strange and implausible as it might seem. Here she was, not having known her mother. And this other lady, looking awfully similar to her, not having known her father. And *both* of their dads were controlling jerks?

Well sure there were a lot of controlling jerks around the multiverse. Could be.

"You uhm, wouldn't happen to know your dad's name by any chance?"

"Not really. It's been..." There is a long frustrated groan as the drinks come to the table. "...A large pain in the you-know-what to get any information. I only have to go on this and that, rumors, and other things. It's sort of why I'm here; to try to get my own answers. I'm a follower of the god of Truth, and yet here they are not giving me the flipping truth!" She pauses and considers things for a moment. "Well, I mean they're just not telling us, rather than lying to us...so I guess that gets a pass for hypocrisy...still!"

She immediately grabs the drink and starts chugging.

[Sings-With-Purpose]

"Well," she eyed her own drink and took a casual sip from it, "Powers are kept out of the Cage by the Lady, could be your god simply can't say a word to you here. Unless you were talking about someone else not telling you anything, of course."

She took another sip, before settling into her seat a little more.

"Listen, this may just be me reaching here, but lately I've been thinking about things a bit more myself. Didn't think much of it in the years before, about my mother and such. Like I said, gone 'fore I got to know her, and the rest of my family ain't the sort to get sentimental enough to tell me much. And you, well, reverse for you, yeah? You know your mother but not your father. Mother's from here, right where I grew up."

This time she took a bit of a bigger gulp.

"And I can't help but notice we look alike a tad. Not many Aasimar around who look like us, I figure. Most of 'em got more of that golden-hued hair and rosy cheeks thing going on."

[Flession]

"Yeah it's...a whole other mess than Apollo not answering my prayers, which he is still. I'm able to feel him here, which is how I was able to heal your malady, if not his direct voice." She grabs her drink again while breaching the other topic and kills it quickly.

"Heh, wouldn't that be funny. Save you and then you turn out to be a long-lost sister or something. That's one for the bards." She says dismissively. "Though you are right...other than my brother, you're the only one who's sort of like me. Everyone else is more glowing and angelic looking. Alright, I'll bite. You remember your mother's name?"

[Sings-With-Purpose]

"Well, I do happen to be a bard," she said with a small chuckle, followed by a sigh as unpleasant memories of the past came to the fore when she tried to think of an answer to the question.

"My father was never all too willing to talk about her to me, any time I asked. I've heard him mention a Phemonoe though, during one of his angry rantings. Phemonoe, or something along those lines. Don't know for sure that's her name but I remember thinking it clearly enough to dive into names and the like. Asked some cutters, didn't know the specifics but figured it sounded like the type of name they give folks in parts of Arborea, which is what brought me there. Never did find anything out there other than how to win a bandore in a bet."

There was a small shrug, "Ah, but that was a few years ago now."

There is a look of shock as you say that name as she stands up in shock, her eyes in disbelief, and the magical aardvark emits a pleasant feeling of amusement upon you both as she stares and points at you. "No way! No flipping way!"

She is actually taken aback a bit by by the response. Yeah, she'd been thinking 'what if' for the past half hour or so, and she'd been the one to sort of maybe suggest things being so in the first place. But getting what she assumed was confirmation was nonetheless almost as shocking to her as it was to the other woman.

Or well... sister?

Sings lifted a finger to a waitress, making sure to order them a few more drinks just to deal with the shock of it all.

"Oh hells," she said, looking stunned herself, as she turned back to present company, "I didn't really think it'd be the dark of it. Hells, part of me's still thinking this to be some cony-catching peel to get me back into the fold, but... nah can't be, dear old dad's not creative enough for a peel like this."

She sits back down and tries to gulp down whatever is left in her mug as the refills are ordered, her eyes still as wide as they were while standing. "Got to be kidding me...how in...the sheer odds of this..." She sighs deeply and groans. "Would...our father really to do something like that? I take it he really sours on everyone the more they are around him."
