Sigil: The City of Doors

What passes for a morning came and, with likely you are to be tired from it. You approach the the Ubiquitous Way and are immediately shuffled down to the basement by Laxuli Phae, eagerly drinking coffee along the way. "Alright, stay as close to everyone as you can. We'll hopefully be able to go thru SaoX...OasX...whatever it is now, quickly and get to Limbo quickly. You're going to have to use your head a bit to get you going Oh, and haste. Be as quick as getting out of here." He points to the piece of jade in her there. "For the Clueless here, this is the key to a portal. Could be anything, could be anywhere. You may not even realize you have one on you before it's too late. It's life, you get used to it. You use there to get around. I don't mind showing you how to use this one because you'd be barmy to want to go to Xaos on a regular basis...or if you weren't, it wouldn't take too long for you to end up that way. Any questions before we begin?"

She looked rather impatient about it, and less than thrilled to be going to where they were, but the news needed to get out about what was going on. It's what she signed up for, after all.

Sings headed out; possibly (probably) in the company of Valeria as they headed toward the Wayfarer. Sings had brought along her new pet. Or, guest, was more like the proper word for it. Midway through the trek over to the wayfarer, she held it up in front of her and looked into its eyes as they walked.

"Alright, so we're going to a *very* fun place now. I'm sure you'll like it. It's going to be dangerous too maybe, but *fun*. If you want, and this is a really solid offer, I can even look into maybe setting you up with a *life-time* amount of fun over there, because I got to be honest with you buddy, I'm not necessarily equipped for taking care of you and your special needs forever, but I promise to make sure you get your fill of fun either way."

She looked at it intently, before rocking it slightly. "I have no idea if you can actually understand me. Just, give me a sign if you do? Okay, anyway, we should be about at our first stop before *fun time land.*"

Moments later, they'd arrive at the wayfarer.

Indeed, Valeria was there. She'd already completed her first (of several, probably) costume changes, magicking her clothing into something appearing a bit more sturdy and militaristic than her usual, with lots of crisp lines and a high collar. Sings would recognize this as her adventuring outfit.

As they walked, Valeria listened to Sings talking to the whateveritwas, her expression interested. "Do you really think it can understand us? And can communicate back" She asked, doubt tinging her enthusiastic tones. She tilted her head, pursing her lips. "What do you suppose it likes to talk about? Grand stories of adventure? Ribald tales? The local gossip?"

Her expression brightened further. "Ooh, or perhaps you should put on a show for it! I'll do backups, of course." She turned her attention forward as they arrived at the wayfarer.

Illi is listening attentively, even as she rubs the sleep from her eyes. She drinks her own coffee which is (unfortunately for her) not helping.

She waves at Sings and the little critter she's carrying around! And Valeria, too!

"Oh, hells, I don't rightly know, but it doesn't hurt to try. Little feller just wants to be entertained in life. Can't say I blame him, honestly!"

She'd give Illiam and anyone else a wave, and took note of the portal key. Good bit of chant to know that. Oh not about portal keys in general, any basher knew that. But hey, if a piece of jade was all it was to open this particular particular up, she could swing that whenever. Though, as she said; whether she would *want* to is a wholly different matter.

Illi finally raises her hand with a question. "Is this place chaos-chaos, and if so, how much does a sentient being affect it? Does it react to emotions or is it more the mind?"

"Hmmm." Valeria's smile turned wry. "Perhaps we should take it to a Sensate's party. Show it that there really is such a thing as too much fun."

"Hello!" She greeted the newcomer with a cheery wave. The question, however, got a blank look in return. "Well... that's a good question..." Valeria said hesitantly, brushing a hand through her blonde hair, even as she shot Sings a glance. Ah, to have a friend who knew all sorts of random facts...

The creature just simply stares at you, but still quite aware of you. Your emotions envelop a sense of keen interest in the events going around it, as it appears to be placated for now.

"Mind, mainly. Few minutes in, maybe even quicker than that, you'll likely not even be able to speak properly. You may think you're saying something clearly, but it may not be to everyone else. That's just for starters."

Sings however, mostly just gave a shrug at that. She'd been to a plane or two or three, but Limbo wasn't one of them. Not that she could recall, anyway. Brief visit to Xaos though, which had been odd enough that she figured there was a not inconsiderable chance that she *had* in fact visited limbo and her memories of visiting Xaos were actually just her mind screaming back at her in confusion.

"Quick wits," she said toward Illiam, "Planes will mess with you in all sorts of strange ways. Quick wits and steady will's a core trait of any planeswalking cutter that does repeating walking."
