"I was sent there when I tried to teleport away from a timestop spell while just outside Menzoberranzan. Don't know how familiar you are, but teleporting there is... unstable. There's something called faerzress there that interferes with teleportation. If I didn't think I was about to be murdered by a powerful wizard, I wouldn't have tried it. But my spell went off wrong. I imagine it warped the time stop's magic as well and deposited me in the demiplane of time. When I woke up I was back in Toril, but my patron... who had somehow supplanted my goddess and reshaped my abilities, which I imagine took a long time, sent me word that I should be in Sigil. I didn't want to piss them off so here I am... with no further instructions."

Naila takes a couple seconds longer to take that all in stride as some hawkers scuttle pass them to find a good spot to sell expensive booze to those about to venture into the great beyond.

"That is...quite dramatic. Your experience must be near singular. I would be rather interested in investigating your patron's identity. But being trapped for all eternity beyond time and space would interfere with my schedule. They haven't spoken to you since you've arrived? I suppose whatever they are, they must have a rather good sense of timing..."

"My guess is that they knew exactly where and when I got into the demiplane and they let me fall for days to amuse themselves. But that might be me assuming they're a jerk. And they have shown no evidence to the contrary, so I've been running with that theory. So, you make time in your schedule for meeting random strangers in the Hive in the evening?"

He keeps walking, keeping a slow, steady pace and trying to keep his senses open to anything that feels... timey? He doesn't actually know.

"I'm a private investigator. Meeting strangers is part of the trade. As is following strangers, listening in on strangers and catching strangers cheating on other strangers. It doesn't all take place in the Hive, but some of it is."
She spreads her hands.

"Besides, it's an excellent opportunity to hone my tailing skills and to contemplate larger questions with the solitude."

She casually eyes the void and then Fyne to see if time was going to run amok or at the very least take off at a fast walk.

"The problem is that my only spell that would tell me anything about it uses up a large amount of very expensive incense. Which I don't have. My options with spells are limited since I got the new patron. They supplanted my abilities with more permanent and longer lasting effects rather than the plethora of magic options I had with Eilistraee."

As you make your way thru the alley, a small demon looking creature breaks thru the line, pushing people over as it rushes to the its goal of the end of the line. Before long, you begin to hear a buzzing noise above your heads, looking up, what looks like a oversized fly buzzing past you, its intention clearly chasing down the Dretch going thru the line. As it moves closer to the ground, several people around fall to the ground due to the infernal buzzing noise surrounding it.

((Arcane roll DC 11 & DC 15 to know what these things are, also roll me a roll me a DC 12 Constitution Saving Throw, please.))

He recognizes the creatures for what they are, but his body doesn't withstand the effects of the blaring sound very well at all. And Lirrax doesn't do so well either.

Naila also had a pretty good guess as to what they were:
Day 1 ME, DC 11 and 15 Arcana: 1d20+2 15

But she also knew she was about to feel quite ill:
