Dragon Quest III [ME6]

[Illiam'iira]

"I know," Illiam'iira answers Ikkit meekly.

"Could link us all together?" She shyly holds up her hands, offering them. "If I do, for an hour at least, any healing done to one can be passed on to another. So we could heal each other that way. Unless you'd like to save it for right before we see combat, uh, if we fight I mean."

"Otherwise, uhm, I'm ready. Will just cast a spell right before jumping through."

[Cyprian Kircheis]

"That is handy." Cyprian quirked an eyebrow. "How many times can you cast it?"

If it's a one and done thing it might be best to wait. If not we should probably knock it out before jumping in. Cyprian's ready to go.

[Illiam'iira]

"That is handy." Cyprian quirked an eyebrow. "How many times can you cast it?"

"Well, there's four of you, so I could probably cast it on everyone twice, for two hours of connection... but it'd limit the healing I could do, as well as counterspells and shielding. So I'd like to avoid casting it all a second time. Uh. So I guess waiting, then..."

[Ikkit the Bastard]

Ikkit grumbled something (mercifully) unintellgible under his breath and stood closer to Illiam'iira than anyone else in the little group.

[Akh Uur Hoon]

"Prepare as well as you can, but please remain adaptable. We don't know exactly what we are going to be facing. We should indeed stay close to each other though."

Akh needed no special clothes for frigid environments. Like she had confessed earlier to Cyprian, she was always magically warm.

[Makeshift]

You make your way, a party of adventurers in their natural habitat, into the jaws of danger. The glass bottle glints, reflecting an odd phantom light, and suddenly you're not in the Darkhouse Inn anymore.

Your insides respond with a lurch, a momentary pass of strong nausea, that's quickly dissipated. First impressions?

It's cold. A howling wind comes from your backs, blowing straight through your marrow. The sky is blanketed by blood red clouds, the shade of newly spilled vitality. Flecks of dust and ice sting your skin and eyes as you stand there, huddled together unconsciously for warmth and shelter from the wind.

You're standing at the entrance to a cave, on top of a steep cliffside, apparently dotted by cave mouths and other odd jagged holes. A whispering fills the air, senseless nothings coming from the cliff itself. They tend to ebb, coming in stronger and weaker.

[Illiam'iira]

Before she slips through the portal, she prestidigitates the other's clothes warm. It's the least she can do.

On the other side, Illia sticks close to Ikkit, shivering a little not from the cold but the whispers.

[Akh Uur Hoon]

Akh Uur Hoon took in the landscape breathless, which was her usual. Then, her symbols swirled and she summoned a Guiding Hand.

"Taelac Mirrimbar." She spoke to it. This was with no prejudice to the possible assessment of the contents of the cave should they choose to explore it.

[Cyprian Kircheis]

It was an eerie sight to be sure. But Cyprian simply pulled his coat in and didn't breathe. "I can go in, scout out the cave if you like." He says. "Unless you believe it best to stick together?" He asks Akh.

[Makeshift]

The spectral hand begins floating forward, into the cave, at a brisk pace.
