"Arrows? Yeah, I heard some of the Hive folk take shots at the people jumping off the side sometimes. Nasty business. As for the Wayferer, huh, not where I was heading, but if your friend knows how to get there then sure, s'fine place to meet. Supposed to be a portal entrance to there somewhere 'round this ward too. It's got several. Didn't think there's one in the Hive, though I know there's one over in the Lower Ward, in Farhome."

Sings looks about in thought for a moment.

"Don't know where the portal to the inn is located 'round this ward," She cast a glance toward Desten, wondering if perhaps he knew, "But Lower Ward's on my way over to where I'm performing so I could take you that far at least. S'ides, I was gonna make a quick stop by the Foundry anyway."

[Desten Callor]

He nodded to the drow but shook his head at Sings "I rarely utilize portals unless it is an emergency. But I know where this inn is I would be happy to escort you to your friend. I assume they can take care of themself?"

The drow woman, already pale, pales further. Oh Quevlin'e, how did you manage to land yourself there of all places? Her stomach sours at the thought, and suddenly, Illiam looks rather sick. Quickly she casts the spell one last time, and, upon its answer, grimaces. Dumbass. "I appreciate the help. Thank you, Lady Sings."

"He's my bodyguard," She mumbles as she hides her face with her bag. "Your armor reminds me of his. S'why I thought you were him when I woke up. I think he'll be okay... if he has enough sense not to pick any fights..." Illiam sighs. He does not have that kind of common sense. For as much as Quev's her bodyguard, she's his babysitter.

"What's the Foundry? Where are you going?" She peeks at the two of them from over the bag in her arms. Time to focus on the here and now. Gotta get where you gotta be, Illiam'iira! No thinking about the past! She does her best to put on a big smile. She slings the bag over her shoulder and perks up. "What're the funnest places in the city? Were you both born here?"

"Oh, the Foundry's a place you can't miss once you head into the lower ward. It's where my faction keeps its headquarters in Sigil. Hardest of work for anyone that signs up, but that's just a lesson along the path. See, our philosophy's that existence is a test. You ascend or descend the great wheel based on the lessons you've learned in your lives. But the point, of course, is to ascend. To become a Power, and then to rise even beyond that. That's the whole purpose of the multiverse, for everyone to ascend out of it, eventually. So, that in mind, we're the sort of folk who seek the sort of experiences that challenge us further along the process. And if we can help a few sods along the way to do the same, well, all the better."

She shrugged. "That's the basic gist of it, anyhow. If you want the *funnest* place, though. Well, that'd probably be a place like the Civic Festhall. That's where the Society of Sensation makes their kip. I was almost a Sensate, you know. They're good fun, but in the end I figured they had the right idea but weren't quite there. Hedonism all the time seems like it might be a bit too much, you know?"

"And yep, for sure I was born here. Well, not *here* in the Lady's Ward. Bit too fancy here. You'll find uh, most of the Cage isn't quite this well-kept and clean."

"Oh." Illiam stares at Sings, wide-eyed, as she listens. "...hedonism..?" That raises an eyebrow as she looks to Desten. Does she really look like a hedonist?

She'll go to the Civic Festhall later! That's something to look forward to! Illi bounces in place. "Oooh, so this is the fancy part of town, then? Oh -- who's the Lady of the Lady's Ward?"

He nods to the drows words about her bodyguard but made no further comment.

"The Lady of Pain." He says simply "She is the ruler of Sigil, some say she is sigil." His deep voice intones "I too grew up here, in the lower wards. I have seen the Lady only a handful of times."

[Sings-With-Purpose]

"Best not to delve much into that either," she said, "If you're thinking of petitioning her or some such. Don't. Folk don't go up and talk to her, or if they do... well... like I said, best not delve much into it. Even the fancy nobles who live in these here estates don't get to talk to her."
