Slaadi Ravage Limboan Burgs

THOUSANDS OF HUNGRY slaadi are ravaging the plane of Limbo, attacking settlements and travelers alike. While the race is not normally peaceful, Limboan natives say they have not observed rapaciousness like this in centuries. It appears the slaadi are gathering as much food and equipment as possible, and returning it all to the Spawning Stone. The halfling village of Barnstable has already repelled three slaad attacks in as many days, at great cost of life to the villagers. Reports also claim that the githzerai burg of As Thou Wilt has born the brunt of slaad aggression this past week. Since slaadi do not require food as part of their spawning cycle, it is still a mystery as to the purpose of their actions. It has been suggested that these events are just another random cause for the frog-race to follow, but there appears to be method in their chaos to me. In any case, the number of slaadi in the area swells daily, to at nearly six thousand at the last count, of all colours. Serious trouble is expected very soon. --Laxuli Phae

Renowned Sage Rhaunades Slain in Fiery Clash at Sigil's Heart

THE CLERK'S WARD WAS ROCKED by a tumultuous wizard duel that claimed the life of the esteemed sage, Rhaunades, sending shockwaves through the heart of the city. The deadly clash occurred within the confines of the Clerk's Ward after antipeak, leaving its inhabitants in a state of shock and disbelief.

Eyewitnesses recount the clash as a ferocious display of arcane power, with Rhaunades and an unidentified adversary locked in a fierce and deadly contest. The two Spellslingers unleashed a dazzling array of spells and incantations, their magic illuminating the normally tranquil streets of the district. As the duel escalated, a devastating explosion engulfed Rhaunades, leaving him fatally wounded and gasping for breath. Harmonium forces and residents rushed to his aid, but alas, the sage's injuries proved too severe, and his name was added to the Dead Book on the scene.

Adding to the tragedy, Rhaunades's private library, located within the Clerk's Ward, fell victim to the fiery conflict. The once-quiet sanctuary of knowledge and wisdom was reduced to smoldering ruins, with its priceless tomes and irreplaceable manuscripts consumed by the flames. Authorities are currently investigating the identity of Rhaunades's assailant, with motives still shrouded in mystery. Rumors swirl throughout Sigil's bustling streets, from political vendettas to personal feuds, each adding another layer of complexity to the already enigmatic affair.

The loss of Rhaunades, a respected sage and scholar, has left a void within the city's intellectual community. The scholarly circles of Sigil pay their respects, reflecting on the invaluable contributions he made to the pursuit of knowledge and arcane understanding. Bloody Jokes and Knights on Posts,

The best comedians are those who hold their smirks no matter what; the best of those smirks are the most crooked.

The noble residents of the Hive and the Slags are intimately familiar with that adage, although it is a recent mint of my own (please contact the editor for royalties regarding any future usage). Some time after antipeak yesterday, that old grim harlequin, the Kadyx made another one of his famous and poignant comedies on the poor and the wicked.
Hiram "Fellmood" Ost, a known quantity among the more wicked elements of Sigil's noble trades was found stuck to a tall fence post in the Slags, run through while wearing his mortar by own broadsword. Blood fell down from him, and his heart was missing, which is an apt descriptor for Fellmood, known to take on all manner of odd jobs, even those black deeds that often only fiends bother with. Apparently he had been employed to enter or had ambled into the Slags in pursuit of an unknown quarry, there he presumably ran afoul of the Kadyx. Which took a happy meal in the poor man's heart, and presumably a hearty laugh on his account too. A Knight on the Post indeed...

Those of you who know me, a great number I may humbly hope, will be flabbergasted. "Kalamizov must have finally gone irretrievably barmy! Journalism!" To fully confess, I am not just magnanimously giving my pen away to S.I.G.I.S. I have taken on the task of acting as this fine paper's Kadyx correspondent, and to that effect, what follows is a small advert:
