"Yeah ... crazy doesn't even begin to describe it. Something weird was going on -- with attacks by those creature-things and people looking for a book - and - well .... you were at that meeting, right? Could've sworn you were there. But maybe not. I hadn't the slightest idea what was going on."

Once she realized Whisper wasn't resisting, Mysti stopped pulling him and instead wrapped her arm around his so they were essentially walking side-by-side.

"I've lived here in Sigil for some 20 years," she said just before abruptly guiding Whisper into a narrow alley. "But the events of the last couple of days has made it so I no longer feel welcome here."

The rogue stopped in front of a seemingly blank wall where she started feeling around with her free hand. "It's around here somewhere ... anyway ... I just need a change. Besides, my life is going to last a long time. Do I want to spend it all in Sigil working for the so-called Hardheads?"

((Sorry for the slow responses - my father went into the hospital on Tuesday so I haven't been home much. Things will improve soon))

[Whisper]

"I fully understand. Sigil is useful, but I always feel better when I have the chance to leave for a while." he nodded. "We'll make the most of this. I promise."

[Mysti]

"I guess I should warn you ahead of time. There's a portal here. Somewhere. If I can find it."

Mysti continued running her hand along what seemed to be a relatively smooth wall -- with only the standard small pockmarks evident, most likely caused by weather, erosion, perhaps even chemicals in the air. Who knew? Mysti sure didn't. But she seemed intent on finding -- something.

But for a moment she did stop her searching and looked hard at the wall, lost in some thought or another that she didn't give voice to.

"It goes to ... oh you mentioned it once. Where you said tressym lived. Honestly the name escapes me right now. But I'm reasonably certain there's a portal around here somewhere. I've never been through it, though. Can't even vouch for it even being there. But that's what I was told."

She knocked a few times -- as if that would locate a portal. "Actually, I only overheard someone telling someone else about the portal. But ... still ... it was worth a shot."

[Whisper]

"Ah, I see." he smiled. "I thought you might have some secret room for us to hide away in. Portals can be tricky."

He felt around the wall a bit.

[Mysti]

Mysti was obviously not about to give up in her search. In fact, the more difficult it became, the harder she seemed to try even though she was getting frustrated. For a brief moment, she paused long enough to take a look around the alley.

"Hmm, no, this is definitely the right place. Thought maybe I had the wrong alley. Hmm. There should be a little hole in the wall. Looks just like any other little weathered pockmark. Like that one over there."

She gestures to what Whisper would expect to see. Just an average looking hole just large enough to stick a single finger into.

"There's a button inside the hole that activates the portal -- but you still need the item that actually allows someone to use it. Hmm, maybe it's on the other side of the alley?"

Mysti started looking into the holes on the other side. "So Whisper -- how much do you know about, uh ... Toril? Yeah ... that's the name of it. You mentioned it once before. The tressym could be found there, I think you said."

[Whisper]

"Toril? Well, that's the world. Faerun would be the continent." he explained. "But, it's Cormyr specifically, I think, that they can be found. That's what I've heard, at least."

[Mysti]

Mysti briefly stopped her search, pondering over the information.

"Oh ... Toril ... so uh ... oh, right ... Faerun. Yeah, that's where this portal goes. But I can't say for certain exactly where. Could be Cormyr. Hmm ... is that what they call the Forest Kingdom? How ironic given how much talk we've given to forests lately."

She started searching again, sticking her fingers into every little pockmark she could find on the wall.

"I'm assuming you've been there before? Because I haven't. Just heard about it. Met several people from there. People love talking about the world they left behind -- probably because they're homesick and came to Sigil through a one-way portal. Heh. But if I could find this one ... "

She stopped agian.

"Uhm ... what if this is a one-way portal? Maybe we shouldn't chance it since ... I know you don't want to leave Sigil forever, right?"

[Whisper]

"There are other ways to come back." he assured her. "Those may just take longer."

"Your right, though. It's generally best not to poke around with portals you aren't personally familiar with." he added.

[Mysti]

Mysti stopped her searching and leaned her back against the wall. The alley was so narrow that she could just about put her foot up on the wall on the other side. Almost.

"Well ... I don't know. How do you feel about leaving Sigil? This might be a two-way portal -- but I can't guarantee it. And, personally, I don't have a whole lot of reasons to ever come back. Not that I'm opposed to it. Like you said, I suppose. There are other ways of getting back."

Then she pushed off the wall and simply studied the wall. She knew the activation button was there somewhere. But she wasn't going to keep looking for it if they weren't going to use it.

[Whisper]

"What's an adventure without some unknown risk?" he asked with a shrug. "My only fear is Hush's wrath if I leave him here alone for that long."
