Another night, another inn, another performance. Tonight her heart somehow wasn't in it. Or it was, but something kept her slightly off-balance throughout the set... which in her case just meant she gave a rock-solid performance. That was the thing about experienced talent, even when you thought you sucked, everyone else thought you did great.

Performance: 1d20+14 20

The woman on stage, for those unfamiliar, wore what might well be considered the most ostentatious jacket the universe had ever produced. Powerful magical illusions woven into the fabric gave her a set of animated feathered angel wings sprouting from her back, that only appeared to become ethereal toward their bottom. But the ostentatious part was the fact the jacket itself was seemed to contain a night sky full of stars... which somehow didn't move with her motions the way they should... almost like they were some sort of portal through space to another part of the multiverse.

The effect was mildy vertigo inducing to gaze upon.

A few of the stars seemed to occupy the space around her, giving it a wholly three dimensional effect. And early on her performance she greatly enhanced the effect by casting a spell that seemed to expand the stage itself to become a part of the illusion, inviting the patrons to imagine they were transported somewhere else into a nightsky above the clouds.

But, all good things come to an end. The music she played was the same basic set as last night. Opening with a celestial harmony, moving on to a more rowdier folksy song, before ending with some of her own favorite material which nobody really knew the name of though anyone in the crowd who happened to be from a place called Earth might call it something akin to Surf Rock. Not that she'd ever heard of a place called Earth.

In any case, when she was done, she thanked the crowd, and headed off stage and to the bar for a drink. The illusions in the jacket fading at her command, and revealing... someone who was still quite celestial in nature. She had a kind of glowing aura to her.

No, literally, there was a slight glowing aura around her.

A job was a job, and given Cyprian's adventurous spirit, he migrated towards the highest bidder. There was risk this way, sure, but his instincts often served him well. This job in particular involved a shop, some waylaid goods, and a desperate client needing to offload said goods without drawing attention to themselves. Luckily Cyprian had a trick or two to pull from. By the time Sing's was leaving the stage he was shaking hands with his client and toasting a solid deal.

Jink is exchanged and the two part ways amicably. Cyprian for his part is practically glowing. Knowing that he'll not only get by a little longer, but that he also has room to color outside the lines.

"I'm feeling good tonight!" He says walking towards Sings. "And you miss, are an extraordinary musician! That was without a doubt the most unique sound I've ever heard!" He motions to the bartender. "The lady's drinks are on me."

Illiam likes watching Sings. That coat makes her feel funny in a good way... it really reminds her of her mama... and Sings' songs are so gorgeous they make her a little jealous she's not nearly as good. So she went hunting for another listen. Luckily for her, even after she got a little lost, she caught wind of Sings-with-Purpose's voice on the street!

The drow danced throughout the aasimar's set (or what she'd caught anyway!). She's just now resting against a wall to catch her breath. She'll say hi to Sings if she can!

"Why thank you kindly cuttter," she said to the man sauntering up to her at the bar, certainly not minding a free drink or two. It was right at that time when the creature she'd purchased came back out from behind the bar where she'd convinced the bartender to let him stay during her performance, and it crawled up to her.*

The creature was a strange armadillo like creature with what looked like a ruby stuck in its forehead, and she scratched its head lightly.

"Always nice to meet a fan," she added, catching the drow girl from a corner of her eyes and giving her a small inviting wave.

Illiam gives Sings a very excited wave and a thumbs up! Her gaze focuses on the critter in Sings' arm, and she covers her mouth with her hands, eyes wide. So cute!

He chuckles at that and has himself an ale. "A fresh admirer certainly." He tracks the wave and beckons for Illiam to join them as well. "Her drinks as well." He tells the bartender. "A very good evening to you too, come and join us."

Once everyone has a drink. "Allow me to introduce myself, Cyprian Valdemar Kircheis - Sword Bard, and Free Agent."

Of course it was another bard. It seemed as if there were rather a lot of musicians crossing her path as of late. A lot of them clueless primers at that too. Not that she necessarily minded; primers were people too, after all. And if they were buying people drinks, well, all the better; though she imagined this one might push his luck too far one of these days when it came to that sort of thing. He looked like the type to offer a succubi a drink, after all. Hells, he looked like the type to offer the Lady herself a drink.

"Sings-With-Purpose, Factotum of the Believers of the Source," she answered his unspoken question, and deciding to let Illiam introduce herself instead.

Nursing a particularly tasty, fruity beverage, Thaddeus is enjoying the evening's festivities when he recognizes someone from earlier. Walking towards her he calls out, "Tiny dancer, I saw you out in the street, you made my little Cornelius so happy."

Noticing the stranger was already engaged with two others, he halts his steps, shifts his drink to his other hand, and offers a proper bow. "My apologies, I didn't meant to interrupt. I just had to express my appreciation for your beautiful dance this morn."

There's a tiny meep as Illi's invited over, and as she trots towards the two when Thaddeus calls -- she almost jumps a foot in the air, she's so startled! But then she turns to look at the satyr, and -- "Oh, that was your kid?" She claps her hands together. "It's alright! Thank you! He was so cute, it just brightened my day! I'm so happy it made him happy too!" The drow leans over, looking to see if maybe Cornelius might be dancing around here somewhere. Her sparkles intensify with the joy of it all. The light reflecting off her skin and hair is cast on the floor, the walls, the ceiling, the people, and it leaves a warm feeling under the skin it touches. "Well, uhm, the more the merrier, right? I only just met Miss Sings yesterday, but I think she's the type who likes meeting new people, right Miss Sings?" And Illi leans back to look at Sings-with-Purpose with an upside-down grin.

And then Illiam does a backwards cartwheel, bouncing once, twice, to land by Sings' side! It's surprisingly graceful. "I'm Illiam'iira, by the way!" She throws her arms up in the air and lets out a big laugh as her skin starts to shine with Sings'.

'You made my little Cornelius happy' definitely sounded like a euphemism. But apparantly it wasn't, based on the conversation that followed at least. She gave a small wave with a small smile at, the drow girl's bubbly nature reminding her in no small part of Valeria; who at least did not normally bounce around so much. With that kind of performance, she worried the girl might end up... well, a native of Xaos come tomorrow.
