I bardly know her [D1, EE, Singing Vortex, Open]

Lies in the border of the Clerk’s Ward and the Guildhall Ward. Many Cagers – particularly those of the Clerk’s Ward – argue back and forth whether the district belongs in the Guildhall Ward or the Clerk’s Ward. Two things maintain it squarely in the Clerk’s Ward, however: first, it’s not as busy as the rest of the Guildhall Ward, and second, Harmonium Patrols are still quite frequent in the area.

Offering another bow at the introduction, the satyr responds, "And my name is Thaddeus, but Thad will do just fine. If you're looking for little Cornelius, he's 'round here somewhere getting into trouble I'm sure."

Turning to address Sings, "That was a very rousing performance. Perhaps we could play a bit together some time." He turns to the side to show a viol hanging across his back, "And maybe we can entice our Miss Illiam'iira to dance with us. I would wager we'd bring in quite the crowd."

"Oh! Oh! I can sing too!" Illiam bounces in place with a giggle. "I can even sword dance!"

"Dancing with a sword, now that would be a sight to see!"

He lowers a hand across his body to one of the two hilts hanging at his hip, a simple piece with up swept quillons and a knuckle guard, drawing it slightly to show the base of the blade. "Thankfully, this chiv here sees little use. This one however..." He reaches for the other, a basket hilt ensconced with filigree metalwork much too dainty for a proper weapon and lined with golden, silky cushioning. "is my preferred weapon and sees quite a bit of use." Thad draws the hilt to revealing the bow for his viol attached where one might expect a blade.

Illi creeps forward to look at both swords, head tilting as she admires them. "That's so... oh!" She giggles at the unexpected viol bow. This, too, is adorable to Illiam'iira, and she's quite charmed by it. "Well, I don't have my sword on me right at the moment, but I could show you a traditional slow dance with one of yours, if you don't think it would be disrespectful to the blade. Though, ah," She looks back and Sings and Cyprian, "I wouldn't want to be a bother..."

"It's very good to meet you both as well." He says with a smile. Then as the scene unfolds he can't help but chuckle softly. "You are too cute Ms. Illiam'iira, and as it happens I too am a sword bard. I would be your dance partner anytime." He bows. "Thad what are you having? I should rather like to try it."

He does a quick look towards Sings and grins, "What's with that look?"

At the question he turns briefly back towards Illiam, "Ohh no, you're no bother at all."

"Yes, I would see you both dance." He deftly flicks his rapier out of its sheath with the bow of his viol, sending it hilt first to Illiam while twisting to unsling his viol, bringing it to rest propped on his hip.

"There we go, I'll just play a little jig to give you a beat." As he begins to play, the air around him is filled with vibrant green and gold triquetras weaving intricate patterns.

Still more bards! And dancing. And swords? She just took a drink from her mug instead of answering Cyprian's question. Let the primers be primers, she supposed. Sword dancing or whatever in the middle of a Sigil establishment? Sure! What could possibly go wrong? Well, at least the little creature she kept with her now would be entertained no matter how badly out of hand things could get.

"Ohhh," He grins, "a man both beautiful and confident? How can I resist!" He laughs and begins walking to the dance floor.

With a single pirouette he both removes his cotte, and unsheathes his blade. He starts by spinning his hat towards the seat next to Sings. Next he fastens the clasp at the collar turning the cotte into a cape. From there he falls into the dance with only half his usual energy. It's still passable all things considered, but he's not giving his all without a promise of money. He might also blame some of the fresh wounds pulling as he moves. His acrobatics too are wanting for the same reasons but it's plain to see that he knows what he's doing. Sadly his height and the limited space forces him to stick to spins, turns, and very lite juggles as he dances.

Illiam giggles, taking a moment to watch the new guy... and to check the heft sword she's about to use. Once she's comfortable she's got it, the girl casts a spell on herself -- with an unfamiliar blade in a public space, she wants to be extra careful! (Safety is important after all, especially in a new place; if she hurt someone or herself or broke the blade, well, that would break her heart, too.) The drow takes a few steps forward, singing the enchantment softly to herself before bowing to Cyprian, the sword in her far hand... until it's not.

Gravity, muscle, movement all work together as she twirls the sword across her shoulders to the other hand, then around her arm, Illiam'iira's hips shaking in time to the beat as she taps one foot on the ground. Her eyes watch the dhampir. Waiting. And then, in the right moment, Thaddeus' blade strikes his, the sound ringing, and Illi starts to sword dance around her 'partner', having no qualms at all about putting her all into it -- she's giggling, leaping, twirling with her fancy footwork, just having a good time, letting the dance only she can do express itself through the medium of her body, fully in the moment together with Cyprian and Thaddeus. The longer the dance goes on, the brighter she gets, until Illiam'iira's body turns a psychadelic cascade of brightly glowing pastel colors swirling riotously across her skin, her light somehow making all three of them perform faster, yet with no less skill. (Cyprian's aches dull briefly from the exposure.) Sparkling after-images follow her as the dancefloor finds itself basked in motes of glimmering light pouring off the sworddancer.

When Thad's song winds down she gives another graceful bow to her partner before skipping off to prance around Thaddeus. With the last few notes she offers his sword back to him with a smile (and a twirl, of course).
