[D5 - LA] Vulpine Dealing (expecting)

[Alynne Valaris]

Alynne was back in the Festhall, waiting just outside of it, for her companion. As usual, she looks radiant, maybe a bit more than normal due to the event that was going to happen in this place a few hours later. Her raven familiar was perched on her shoulder, looking around and inspecting those that get a bit too close.

She was here in order to see if she could get the sensation/experience that the creature known as Shemeshka was looking for, something about a dead friend or something. Alynne was a bit curious though since learning about Shemeshka's nature as a yugoloth, and being denied access to it by Montgomery.

There had to be something more about it than just a sensation, but that was for later, first she would be asking for it, then if denied for whatever reason, perhaps it would be done differently. And that probably was the part that her companion of today would play his role.

[Ikkit the Bastard]

It was an open question, perhaps, how long Ikkit had been there, hiding, but whatever the case, when he pulled the hood on his cloak back, he was dressed in slightly cleaner attire than usual.

Well. Apart from the hat he pulled out from his sack and put on his head by way of greeting.

"Afternoon. Got a plan, or we just walkin' in?"

He eyed the building with a species of mild distaste.

'' Good Afternoon, Mr. Ikkit the Bastard.'' She replied to his hat greeting with a courtsy. '' No plan. At least not yet. Firstly i want to ask for the experience that Shemeshka is looking for, but without mentioning her.'' She explained. '' I don't think i should be denied to obtain it and experience it first, or if you want to experience it with me, it should be fine.'' She adds.

'' Then i guess we should feel what it is all about, and then plan from there...'' She somewhat shrugs. Alynne was not particularly bright in that regard. '' Unless you have any suggestions Mr. Ikkit?'' She asked for his opinion.

[Ikkit the Bastard]

"Never been one for dippin' my toes into someone else's experience. An' th'King o' the Cross-Trade is likely usin' us both t'some other end, so reckon I'll be as cut'n'dry 'bout it as I can."

He tilted his hat back on his head.

"But I'd bet you a shiny copper penny y'get told no. 'Less Shemeshka's whole plan is makin' you go through the poor sod's last moments for some other reason. Yugoloths're easy to do bus'ness with, but y'gotta 'member what they really want outta most folks."

'' Indeed.'' She nods. '' At first i didn't identify her as a daemon, but this fellow here...'' She pointed to her raven. '' Helped me in that regard. She definitely is using us for some reason, beyond a simple experience, and definitely whomever this person was, he was not her friend. Yugoloths have no friends...'' She adds.

'' But if she can help me in get what i want then i don't care.'' She said honestly. '' And you might get her to do something in return for you. In any case, lets go, it should be so difficult for me to ask for that sensation...''

Alynne moves a bit to the side to allow Ikkit to accompany her inside the building, where she will ask for a private dual sensorium in order to experience what happened prior to Shemeshka's 'friend's' death.

As a sensate she shouldn't have much trouble in asking for a private room so that she and Ikkit could experience whatever happened and what the yugoloth wants.

Annali Webspinner was standing in the Hall, finishing up preparations for this evening's festivities. The bariaur seemed to be focused on her task as you arrived, but still made herself appear to be opening as you and your small companion make your way to her. "Ahh, Alynne. Good to see you again. Have you made a new friend?"

She listened to your request and seemed to raise her eyebrow, staring at your crow for a moment before looking at the goblin. "Uh...huh. Is there a reason why you'd like to see it with your new friend?"

'' I heard something about this person, it would seem that he was somewhat of an important sage?'' She told what she did heard around the streets some days ago. '' And here Mr. Ikkit is helping me in looking around what is the deal about the mystery of this person.'' Not a lie, just a half truth. '' So i hoped to know if some details about him were recorded by the Society.''

it definitely didn't sound like Alynne was telling everything or even the truth, but she was still somewhat persuasive...

Annali gives you a look with her eyes from her glasses, very doubtful of the explanation you've given. Still, there was little reason to deny you the request, although there is some hesitancy in her voice.

"Okay, fine. Just tell me the real reason later, okay?" She looks at her chart for a empty room. "Just keep a eye on...Ikkit, is it? Don't wander around outside of those Sensorium room, please. We'll get the memory you need shortly."

Ikkit gave the bariaur a grin that could only not be called shit-eating because to do so would have been unflattering to shit-eating grins.

"No wandering? But just think of all the unique experiences I c'n provide."

Typical Sensate. Out to experience everything unless it gives them cause to wrinkle their snouts.

Still, he made no move to do anything untoward.
