She pauses a moment to ask, "Who's Jemorille?"

"Jemorille the Exile. He's a Rilmani, an Argenach to be specific, who bangs 'round the Fortune's Wheel. Handful of us stopped by yesterday to wigwag with him 'bout what the Rilmani've been up to. He was... somewhat helpful. Very enigmatic and even more conceited."

"A more intimate affair then. It'll give us a chance to get to know each other better." Thad lifts his mug in cheers to Mysti.

Mysti gave Thaddeus a little grin and raised her wine glass in a return salute.

"Yes it could indeed," she said in response to Thaddeus and getting to know him better.

At least ... it had been a more intimate affair. Until Cyprian spoke up for himself and Akh.

Mysti made no secret of it. Her dark eyes drank in Akh with a fiery intensity that she hadn't displayed to anyone else in the room. But she kept a professional demeanor in any case.

"Well, Thaddeus, looks like it won't be as intimate as we at first thought." As usual, her voice purred. "That needn't stop us from getting to know each other since it would seem our other two volunteers are already ... acquainted. So we have four so far. We probably don't need more lest we have a group too large. However one more shouldn't hurt. Anyone else up for a trip to the City of Brass?"

[Whisper]

Whisper just sat and listened for a while. He had no connections to any of the events being discussed, but he was curious.

"I'm not sure where I can help, but I'm pretty good at tracking and finding things in general. I'm also good at sneaking about and can help others do so." he spoke up again. "I'll go wherever you need."

The gaze was faced with pale, compassionate deadness. Mysti could well be breathing fire into the void where there was no oxygen for it to burn.

"I don't presume to be uniquely predisposed to such an expedition. I am no adventurer, but a mortician and a scholar, and my involvement in the whole affair started with the trace of bodies ending up in the Mortuary. All I have ever wanted in this matter is to end the suffering this Codex has sown and bring True Death to the souls of the victims. All my findings I have shared freely to help others to solve the dark. I suppose a Hardhead like you should be in charge of meting out order, if this is what this expedition to the City of Brass is about. Cyprian's enthusiasm aside, I claim no title to this investigation nor do I wish to impose on how authorities want to take it from here. If you see it more as rendezvous of some kind, I have even less reason to participate as private matters of the living do not concern me even if I am not given the courtesy of my privacy being equally respected."

She paused.

"In the end, I am at disposal. I will go there only if it may help."
